Water Purification Plant
Nathuwala Village, near Nankana Sahib and 45 minutes from Faisalabad, was selected for a pilot project due to the widespread outbreak of Hepatitis C. Out of 200 villagers tested, 150 were found positive. In response.
Byram personally visited the village and initiated the installation of a water purification plant to supply clean drinking water to over 5,000 households. The Nathuwala Village Water Purification Plant was officially inaugurated by Byram on May 23, 2016.
High School Toilets
In addition to tackling unsafe drinking water with purification plants, Javat is focused on addressing the broader issue. A major factor is poor sanitation and the practice of open defecation in Pakistan.
During a 2016 visit to Nathuwala High School, he found only 3 outdated toilets for the entire student body, far short of the 10 required. He promptly demolished the old facilities and built a new sanitation structure with the necessary 10 toilets.
Javat Primary School
In a country where over 40% of the population is illiterate, the Javat Foundation is committed to advancing education at every level, recognizing that Pakistan’s future hinges on improving literacy. In memory of his late father, Mr. Javat established the Javat Primary School in Gadap, Karachi.
The construction of the school, managed by TCF, which oversees 1,400 schools, was completed within 12 to 14 months.
Currently it serves 180 students, maintaining a teacher-student ratio of 1:30.
High School Library
Further to Byram's dedication to improving education in Pakistan, he established a modern library and computer lab, at Nathuwala High School.
The library serves 800+ students at the all boys school, as well as the girls high school opposite, with 457 students.
This initiative highlights his commitment to empowering youth and fostering a brighter future for the nation.
